IBC 2014 Podcast Preview




The 30th annual International Blues Challenge is next week on Beale Street in Memphis.  Well over 200 acts will be competing to be the best in the blues.  Several of those acts are bands I know as fans of Blues Power or as bands I've seen perform in Northeast Kansas, so this podcast focuses on the great music of several of those acts who I will be cheering on as they compete next week in Memphis.

     Representing the Buffalo River Blues Society from Leslie, AR, in the band category

     Representing the Central Mississippi Blues Society from Jackson, MS, in the band category

     Representing the Orange Blossom Blues Society from Orlando, FL, in the band category

     Juke Daddys front man Mississippi Marshall Hopper and drummer Mojo Foots will be representing the Boise Blues Society from Boise, ID, in the solo/duo category

     Representing the River Basin Blues Society from Evansville, IN, in the youth showcase

       Representing France Blues in the band category
